Our Mission

Psygaia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing psychedelic literacy and responsible practice in service of planetary health.

We develop and share research-informed educational frameworks and shared reference points that help people engage with psychedelics safely, intentionally, and ethically across diverse contexts. Our work integrates insights from systems science, ecological medicine, embodied cognition, and long-standing cultural traditions, remaining grounded in research and lived practice.

Psygaia is not a service provider or a centralized authority. We operate as a distributed standards network, supporting individuals, grassroots communities, practitioners, and retreats in developing practices that are adaptable, replicable, and rooted in awareness, care, responsibility, and reciprocity.

We understand psychedelics not merely as substances, but as allies that interact with psychological, social, ecological, and cultural systems. When engaged responsibly, they can deepen self-awareness, strengthen community bonds, stimulate creativity and foster a renewed sense of connection with the living world.

At the same time, psychedelics are not a panacea. Their benefits depend on context, preparation, integration, and ethical use. Psygaia exists to help make these conditions more accessible and better understood, so all may benefit from their contemporary re-introduction into society and culture.

Our Approach

Together, these efforts aim to support responsible psychedelic practices that can be adopted and adapted at the grassroots and institutional level.

  • Education
We create accessible, systems-based, and research-informed resources that support psychedelic literacy, preparation, integration, and ethical responsibility.

  • Community
Through Psygaia’s Circle and affiliated events, we cultivate peer-based learning, shared inquiry, and mutual support among individuals and communities engaging with psychedelics in service of planetary health.

  • Support
We provide non-clinical guidance, resources, and structured spaces for reflection and integration, helping individuals navigate psychedelic experiences before and after they occur—without positioning Psygaia as a treatment provider or authority over personal experience.

  • Research
In collaboration with academic partners, we are developing ecologically grounded frameworks for understanding psychedelic experiences.

  • Psygaia’s Circle
A free and online education and support network offering community integration events, shared learning spaces, and access to experienced guides.

  • AFTERGLOW

Ethics & Responsibility

Psygaia acknowledges the millennia-long relationships between Indigenous peoples and psychedelic plants and fungi, as well as the harms caused by their recent commercialization and misappropriation. We are committed to ethical engagement, reciprocity, and ongoing learning, while recognizing that meaningful relationship-building requires time, humility, and accountability.

Looking Ahead

Psygaia is working toward a future in which psychedelic education and practice contribute to a healthier relationship between humans and the Earth. Our long-term vision includes expanded research, educational programs, and the eventual creation of physical spaces dedicated to ecologically rooted ceremonial learning and integration. We welcome collaboration, inquiry, and dialogue from those who share an interest in advancing responsible psychedelic practice.

Thank you and do not hesitate to contact us.

Action on behalf of life transforms. Because the relationship between self and the world is reciprocal, it is not a question of first getting enlightened or saved and then acting. As we work to heal the earth, the earth heals us.
