About
Psygaia is a nonprofit research and education organization advancing psychedelic literacy and responsible use through a systems-based, ecological approach to psychedelics within a community of practice. Our work draws on systems theory, enactive cognition, biosemiotics, spiritual ecology, ecological medicine, and ecopsychology to situate psychedelic experiences and meaning-making within living systems.
Our work includes structured courses, reference materials, and educational programs designed to improve public and professional understanding of psychedelic experiences, reduce preventable harm, and maximize potential benefits. Psygaia does not provide therapy or medical treatment.
Through research-informed frameworks and emerging psychedelic literacy standards, Psygaia supports individuals, practitioners, and organizations in making informed decisions across diverse cultural and legal contexts. Rather than imposing authority from above, we operate as a distributed standards and education network, offering shared reference points for preparation, integration, safety, and ethical responsibility—all in service of planetary health.
Through this distributed, practice-based approach, Psygaia aims to foster coherence and responsibility in an evolving cultural landscape—without centralization, enforcement, or ideological control.
Join us in co-creating a more connected and healthy world via Psygaia’s Circle.
